Who would do such a dangerous thing, playing with one's own life? This is, in fact, the true story of 33﹣year﹣old climber Alex Honnold.

Honnold made history in 2017 when he climbed one of the world's most famous cliffs（悬崖） —El Capitan in California, US. Honnold climbed it without any safety equipment（装备）. His experience was made into a documentary called Free Solo. The film won Best Documentary Feature（最佳纪录片）at the 91st Academy Awards, also known as the Oscar, last month.

The film not only showed Honnold's amazing climbing skills, but also explained why he chose to climb the cliff and how he dealt with his fear. These are two essential questions for anyone who chooses to try extreme sports.
