据希腊媒体报道，希腊前总统卡罗洛斯·帕普利亚斯于当地时间12月26日上午去世，终年92岁。
第二次世界大战期间，卡罗洛斯·帕普利亚斯曾参加反对德国法西斯占领的斗争。战后多次当选议员。
1981年至2005年，帕普利亚斯曾先后担任希腊副外长、外长和议会国防与外事委员会主席等职。2005年2月，帕普利亚斯当选为希腊总统。2010年2月再次当选希腊总统，同年3月宣誓就职。
