8月中旬腾讯互动娱乐事业群宣布，成立企鹅电竞产品中心，该中心将全面负责企鹅电竞的产品研发和运营推广工作。去年10月，腾讯拟牵头虎牙与斗鱼合并。同时，斗鱼与腾讯还签订了一份“重组协议”，拟将“企鹅电竞”以五亿美元的价格转让给斗鱼。
