中外科学家团队在《科学通报》英文版发表论文，描述了缅甸克钦邦琥珀中的首例虾类化石。本次发现填补了缅甸琥珀十足目虾类的产出空白，将琥珀虾类的保存记录提前了大约8000万年，对研究虾类的分布与演化有着重要意义。
