近几年，江西省萍乡市安源区第一中学作为中国曲棍球后备人才推广校开设了曲棍球课外兴趣班，由退役的原江西省体工大队男子曲棍球运动员吴波义务指导练习。学生们通过参加曲棍球训练和比赛感受曲棍球运动的魅力。
