漫画「租借女友」作者宫岛礼吏公开了庆祝本作动画化活动现场售卖画集的宣传图，画集将命名为「KISS和女朋友」，包含40页的绘画内容。
漫画「租借女友」于2017年7月12日在「周刊少年Magazine」32号上开始连载，由TMS Entertainment负责制作的动画于去年7月11日播出。
