1月3日9时30分，抚顺市顺城区雷锋体育场北门一车辆起火，抚顺消防救援支队新城路站接到报警后立即出动水罐消防车2台，指战员10人赶赴现场。
消防救援人员于9时37分到达现场，现场为一台私家车前置发动机起火并燃烧至车内，无人员被困。指战员立即铺设水带干线，疏散围观群众设立警戒，9时48分，明火被彻底扑灭。
