虎扑12月17日讯 河南建业俱乐部官方微博在启动征集中性名后发声，表态认为建业二字已是河南形象、河南文化必不可缺的一部分。
建业官方转发了记者丰臻对建业改名的看法，并写道：
“建业”不仅仅是足球，更是一种文化与生活。26年风雨沉浮，26年屹立不倒。“建业”是河南形象、河南文化必不可缺的一部分。
