西部曾一度是青岛最“时尚”和“繁荣”的代表，也是每个生活在青岛的人都向往的居住地。然而，随着青岛经济中心的东移，老西部也逐渐沉寂。近年来，市南区采取了多项措施进行西部振兴，其中就包括青岛湾拆迁改造。
