截至目前，垦利6-1油田探明地质储量超过1亿吨。提炼成汽柴油后，可供100万辆汽车行驶20多年。油田将成为我国渤海莱州湾北部地区首个亿吨级大型油田，并一举打破该地区40余年无商业油气发现的局面。
