“outpatient”和“inpatient”分别是啥？
话不多说，直接上英文解释。
An outpatient is someone who receives treatment at a hospital but does not spend the night there. While an inpatient is the opposite.
可以看出inpatient和outpatient互为反义词（差点嘴一快说成了互为相反数了）。
① outpatient，表示在医院接受了治疗，然后直接就回家；
② inpatient，是在医院接受治疗，但是需要住院（stay in the hospital/spend the night）。
因此，outpatient clinic叫做门诊部，inpatient service就是住院服务。

“探望时间”英语咋说？
如果你的朋友需要住院stay in the hospital，也就是一个inpatient，那出于“人道主义”以及“友情之光”，你当然得去探视一下。
探视病人最简单的表达可以用visit a patient，那探视时间你能猜出来吗？
对啦，你可以直接说visiting hours或者visiting time，表示探望时间。

“出院”英语咋说？
住院住久了，治好了，当然得出院了。不过，出院我们不说get out of the hospital，有一个比较简洁的词叫做discharge。
Discharge的搭配场景：
When someone is discharged from hospital, prison, or one of the armed services, they are officially allowed to leave, or told that they must leave.
所以discharge可以表示出狱，退役，也可以表示从监狱服刑出来。
