A-level数学probability部分,要求学生掌握以下4点:

其中一共有以下这些formula:
1 Complementary probability
P(A')=1- P(A)
2 Addition rule
P(A ∪ B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A∩B)
3 Conditional probability
P(A given B) = P(A|B)=P(A∩B)/P(B)
4 multiplication rule
P(A∩B)= P(A|B) × P(B) or P(B|A) × P(A)
(是由multiplication rule 推导出来)
5 A and B areindependentif
P(A|B) = P(A) or P(B|A) = (B)
6 A and B aremutually exclusiveif
P(A∩B)=0
几个公式理解起来都不很难,但是Addition rule和multiplication rule 做题时需要学生灵活运用,考题比较灵活。要学会利用Venn diagram去理解,保证做题和考试时候的正确率。
仔细看图,我们就不难理解为什么Addition rule不是两个事件的概率直接相加,而是还要减去P(A∩B),并且清楚multiplication rule 的由来。
(c)问中考察学生对multiplication rule的运用,但是增加了很多条件,计算时选不要着急算,先列好要求的条件概率不要丢条件。
probability是选择统计学的学生必考的内容,所以同学们一定要多加理解,学会整理归纳,最重要的还是开始就要清楚题目问什么再着手展开去做,不要盲目开始做,有些题目看起来简单,实际上包含了很多隐含条件,最后希望同学们在这部分不要丢分。
