根据中国足协公布的最新一期24人国家队名单，中国国脚平均年龄为29.5岁，整体年龄偏大。相比之下，韩国队的平均年龄为26.5岁，日本队的平均年龄为25.8岁。
本次中国队的集训名单中，只有刘奕鸣、韦世豪两位U23球员，80年代球员高达17人。而韩国队阵中则有5位U23球员，日本队中有6位U23球员。
值得一提的是，李晟佑、冨安健洋和堂安律均为98年出生的球员。
