1958年3月17日（距今60年），我国第一台黑白电视机诞生了。在大跃进热潮中，天津712厂采用国产电子管心脏和一部分当时苏联的元器件生产出了北京牌14英寸黑白电视机。当时我国电视机研制技术与日本基本处在同一起跑线。
