享受国务院特殊津贴，研究员，博士生导师，国家哲学社会科学规划评审组专家、“中国经济学家50人论坛”成员，中国金融学会常务理事、《银行家》杂志编委会主任、上海、北京等多个省市政府特聘专家、顾问、北京大学中国经济研究中心及国家行政学院等高校兼职教授、中国人民银行总行博士后流动站学术委员会委员、中国并购公会首席经济学家。曾任中国人民银行金融研究所副所长、中国证监会交易部主任、深圳证券交易所总经理、中国人民银行政策研究室负责人、非银行金融机构监管司司长。

XIA Bin

Xia Bin graduated from the Finance Department of Graduate School of People’s Bank of China (Wudaokou) in 1984. Between 1985 and 1992, Xia held posts from Deputy Section Head to Vice President of Finance Research Centre of People’s Bank of China and had been to Japan to study securities at Nomura Securities Research Centre. In the three years that followed, he served as the President of the Exchange Department and the Information Centre of China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Manager of Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Later, he reverted to work for People’s Bank of China as the Vice President of its Research Centre between 1996 and 1998 and Director of Non-Banking Financial Regulation Department during 1998-2002. In September 2002, he joined the Financial Research Institute of Development Research Centre of the State Council to engage in the research on macro monetary policies. Xia is the author of Report on the Research of Chinese Privately Offered Fund. He was awarded the Sun Yefang Prize, the highest honour for economists in China, in 2003.
