亚太酒店设计论坛丨Stefano Trovato：简一致力于用创新实现可持续

【网易设计】：您如何看待此次亚太酒店设计吉隆坡论坛？这次论坛最吸引您的是什么？

【Stefano Trovato】：亚太设计论坛一直是一个非常有趣的会议，有来自亚洲最好的酒店设计师的精彩演讲，吉隆坡会议肯定没有辜负所有与会者的期望。本次会议的主题是【可持续性】，这对全世界特别是亚洲是一个非常重要的主题。很有意思的是，设计师对这个主题有着不同的答案，比如节能的设计方案，或者可持续的材料选择，比如选择大理石瓷砖代替天然大理石，可持续并不是只有一个解决方案，把这些解决方案汇总在一起，可能就是答案。

The Asia Pacific Design forum is always a very interesting meeting, with great lecture from some of the best hotel designers of Asia. The Kuala Lumpur meeting surely didn't disappoint the expectations of all the attendees.

The topic of this meeting was the sustainability, a very important topic for all the world and especially for Asia.

It had been very interesting seeing how the designers have different answers to the theme, as design solutions for energy saving, or a sustainable choice of materials, like choosing marble tiles as a replacement of natural marble.

There's not one solution only, but the solutions together might be the answer.

【网易设计】：您如何理解可持续设计？

【Stefano Trovato】：可持续发展是一个非常宽泛的概念，就像这个词本身的含义一样宽泛。可持续性的概念只与规划的行动一起存在，没有规划就没有可持续性，没有设计就没有可持续性。可持续发展的理念应该是规划的每一步的主导思想，从规划的更大阶段到最详细的阶段。全球政策，甚至在国家政策出台之前，都应该以可持续性的理念为主导，不仅是环境可持续性，而且在经济、社会发展等方面也是可持续性的。只有在可持续发展理念驱动的一系列政策中，城市、建筑和室内设计可持续发展战略才能真正有效。

Sustainability is a very wide idea, as wide as the meaning of the word itself.

The idea of sustainability only exists together with the action of planning, there's no sustainability without planning, and so without design.

The idea of sustainability should be a leading idea for every step of the planning, starting from the bigger stages of the planning to the most detailed.

Global policies, even before the national ones should be lead by the idea of sustainability, not only environmental sustainability, but sustainability also in economical, social development, etc..

Only inside a set of policies driven by the idea of sustainability the urban, archtectonical, and interior design sustainable strategies can be really effective.

【网易设计】：作为简一首席设计师，您通过什么方式实现产品的可持续性？

【Stefano Trovato】：简一本身就是天然大理石的可持续答案，这就是为什么我们总是从环境污染和能源消耗、我们产品的经济可持续性方面考虑可持续性的原因。致力于扩大简一大理石瓷砖在天然大理石替代中的应用范围，有助于实现更多可持续的建筑。

GANI itself exists as a sustainable answer to the natural marble, that's why we always considered the sustainability in terms of environment pollution and energy consumption, economical sustainability of our products.

Working in order to enlarge the range of applications of GANI's marble tiles in replacement of natural marble, helps achieving more sustainable buildings.

【网易设计】：设计与技术是简一的核心竞争力，说说设计与技术之间的关系？

【Stefano Trovato】：诚然，设计和技术一直是我们的强项，我们的主要研究领域。这两个方面之间有着紧密而良性的关系，因为它们互相推动着去探索新的可能性并扩展它们的界限。没有领先的设计研究，就没有技术研究的领先，同时，如果没有领先的技术研究，就不可能成为设计研究的领导者。

It is true, design and technology has always been our strength, our main research fields.

There is a tight and virtuous relationship between those two aspects since each one of the two push the other to explore new possibilities and extend their boundaries.

Being leader in technological research would be impossible without being leader in design research and at the same time, it will not be possible being a leader in the design research without leading the technological research.

【网易设计】：密缝铺贴技术的优势是什么？

【Stefano Trovato】：简一密缝铺贴的优点非常明显，每个人都可以轻松体验。在简一，一直以来我们关心的不是单片瓷砖的设计，而是可以提供完整的大理石体验。在这个大理石体验中会涉及到很多方面，而最终铺设的效果，可能是一个地板或一个墙壁，是最重要的事情之一。我们的新技术密缝铺贴意味着我们朝完美大理石体验的方向迈出了重要的一步，因为其他瓷砖所需的铺设间隙始终代表着与天然大理石铺砌效果的巨大差异。采用密缝铺贴技术，我们能够提供与天然大理石相同质量的铺面。不但看不到地面上的灌浆接缝，还是一个不同的大理石体验。

The advantages of GANI's 0,5mm joint paving are very visible and easy to experience for everyone.

In GANI we always cared not about the design of the single tile but we cared about the full marble experience that we could provide.

In this marble experience many aspects are involved, and the effect of the final layout, might it be a floor or a wall, is one of the most important thing.

Our new technology, the 0,5mm joint paving, represent a significant step forward in the direction of the perfect marble experience, since the laying gap needed for other ceramic tiles always represented a big difference with the natural marble paving.

With the 0,5mm joint paving technology we are able to offer a paved surface with the same quality of the natural marble.

It is not only a matter of not seeing the grouted joints on the floor, it is a matter of a different marble experience.

【网易设计】：瓷砖是同质化较为严重的品类，简一为了不被模仿都做了哪些努力？

【Stefano Trovato】：诚然，陶瓷市场竞争非常激烈，许多品牌都试图遵跟随我们的决定，模仿我们的产品。事实上我们没有为了不被模仿而去采取任何具体的行动，我们更倾向于集中精力研究和改进自己。成果的质量决定了模仿的难度。如果另一个品牌真的能模仿我们，这意味着我们做得不够好。

It is true, the ceramic market is very competitive and many brands try to follow our decisions and to imitate our products.

I can't really say that we take any specific action in order not to be imitated, we prefer focus our energies in our research and improving ourselves.

It's the quality of the results achieved that sets how difficult it is to me imitated.

Is another brand is really able to imitate us, it means we didn't do well enough.

【网易设计】：未来简一在设计研发上还有哪些规划？

【Stefano Trovato】：目前，我们正致力于提供大规格瓷砖设计方面的新可能。设计与技术的融合，已经催生出一种全新的产品，连纹和可重复的图案。我们将继续朝着这个方向探索，我们新产品的新应用和功能将朝着这个方向发展。

At this time we are working on the new opportunities in terms of design offered by the big size. The integration between design and technology already gave birth to a completely new kind of product, the big size with vein connection and repeatable patterns. We will keep on explore in this direction, new applications and features for our new products are coming following this direction.
