这位高富帅跟着Omar Chajam到了一个间布满灰尘的木屋。Omar Chajam 燃起壁炉，然后开始在他破旧的储物箱翻找出一件破烂不堪的长袍。接着，Omar Chajam把这件长袍扔给了高富帅。告诉高富帅说：来，试试，肯定适合你。
高富帅拿起长袍，鄙视的看了一眼说：这些破布是用来干什么的？我是时尚的代表，你给我们这些破布穿，你疯了吧？高富帅于是把破袍子扔了回去。
你看，Omar Chajam说，你不想穿破布，对么？我和你一样，我也不想‘穿’别人扔给我的那些污言秽语。所以你看，为了一些人的辱骂你就不淡定，就是变相的告诉辱骂你的人，你接受了他们扔给你的破袍子。
One man was publicly offending Omar Chajam:
- You’re an atheist! You’re drinker! Almosta thief!
Chajam just smiled in response.
One dandy dressed in the silk trouserswatching that scene asked Chajam:
- How can you tolerate such offences? Doyou not feel hurt?
Omar Chajam smiled again and told:
- Let’s go with me.
Dandy followed him to the dustylumber-room. Chajam lighted the kin-dling and began rummaging in the trunk,where found completely worthless tattered robe. He threw it to dandy and said:
- Try it, it will match you.
Dandy took a robe, looked at it andresented:
- What these dirty rags are for? I am welldressed, and you must be crazy! – and threw a robe back.
- You see, - Chajam said, - you did notwant to try rags. Similarly, I did not want to try those dirty words that manthrew me.
To be aggrieved by offences means to try onrags someone throw us.
