从河而来丨百年前就蜚声国际的“锡”世珍宝，如今锤音依旧

　　叮叮锤声，自汶河之畔响起；河水奔涌汇入黄河，载着这声响穿越四百年光阴。在济南莱芜凤王祥锡雕馆内，一块朴素锡料，经锻、錾、焊、雕、抛光，在王圣良、王绪贤父子手中，蜕变为温润精巧的锡雕。莱芜锡雕曾按“一两锡，一两银”计价，做过皇家贡品，百年前又在巴拿马万国博览会摘得银奖。这门手艺，至今仍在代代接力。

　　根植于莱芜悠久的矿冶文明，凤王祥锡雕自清康熙年间开创工坊，一脉传承至今已是九代。从小在工坊听着锤声长大的王绪贤，二十余年深耕锡雕，作为市级代表性传承人，他始终把黄河、大汶河文化视作手艺的根脉，希望借锡雕这一载体，诉说大河文明的故事。

　　一件锡器成型，考验着手艺人的耐心与功底。锻打塑形、拉焊雕琢，每一道工序全凭手上功夫。王氏父子在守住中空锻打、堆焊、拉焊等传统核心技法的同时，主动贴近当代审美，跳出老题材的局限。融合传统意象的《独占鳌头砚》获得泰山文艺二等奖，被官方收藏；取材于“一山一水一圣人”的茶具，拿下2025年非遗文创大赛一等奖。古老锡雕，不再只是陈设摆件，也成为适配现代生活的文创作品。

　　传承从来不止闭门创作。受父亲影响，王绪贤一直希望手艺能惠及更多人。父子二人联合当地残联，把锡雕技艺带进特殊教育学校，让适合的聋哑学员习得一技之长。在他们看来，传承不是家族私藏，技艺能助人自立，才更有温度。

　　回望来路，凤王祥曾为宫廷打造嫁妆，孔子博物馆珍藏的满汉全席锡餐具，便是先祖的手笔。百年前的国际荣光值得铭记，但在王绪贤眼里，新一代传承人的担子，在于面向未来。

　　大河奔涌，匠心不止。从皇家贡品到当代非遗，从工坊锤声到世界舞台，莱芜锡雕的故事，还在继续。王绪贤期待带着这件黄河边诞生的“锡”世珍宝走出国门，向世界展现山东文化、讲述鲜活的中国非遗故事，让千锤百炼的锡雕，成为一张温润的中国文化名片。

　　The rhythmic ringing of hammers echoes from the banks of the Wen River, whose waters flow into the Yellow River, carrying the sound through four centuries of history. At the Fengwangxiang Tin Carving Museum in Laiwu, Jinan, a plain block of tin is hammered, chiseled, welded, carved, and polished until it is transformed—through the hands of Wang Shengliang and his son Wang Xuxian—into a piece of tin art both warm in luster and exquisite in detail. Laiwu tin sculpture was once priced at "one tael of tin, one tael of silver," served as a royal tribute, and won a silver medal at thePanama–Pacific International Expositiona hundred years ago. This craft continues to be passed down from generation to generation.

　　Rooted in Laiwu's long tradition of mining and metallurgy, the Fengwangxiang Tin Carving Museum was founded during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty and has now been passed down through nine generations. Growing up in the workshop to the sound of hammers, Wang Xuxian has devoted more than twenty years to tin sculpture. As a municipal-level representative inheritor of the craft, he has always regarded the culture of the Yellow River and the Dawen River as the very roots of his art, hoping to use tin sculpture as a medium to tell the story of great river civilizations.

　　Shaping a piece of tinware tests a craftsman's patience and skill. From hammering and forming to welding and carving, every step depends entirely on the mastery of the hands. While preserving the traditional core techniques—such as hollow hammering, overlay welding, and stretch welding—Wang Shengliang and his son Wang Xuxian actively embrace contemporary aesthetics and break free from conventional subject matter. Their"Standing Out from the Crowd" Inkstone, which blends traditional imagery, won the Second Prize of the Taishan Literary and Art Awardand was collected by the authorities; their tea set, inspired by the concept of "one mountain, one river, one sage" (referring to Mount Tai, the Yellow River, and Confucius), took the first prize in the 2025 Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural & Creative Design Competition. The ancient art of tin carving is no longer merely ornamental display pieces—it has become cultural and creative work that fits modern life.

　　Inheritance has never been about creating behind closed doors. Influenced by his father, Wang Xuxian has always hoped the craft could benefit more people. The father and son partnered with the local Disabled Persons' Federation to bring tin carving into special education schools, enabling deaf and mute students suited to the craft to acquire a skill. In their view, inheritance is not a private family possession—only when the craft can help others stand on their own feet does it truly carry warmth.

　　Looking back along the road it has traveled, Fengwangxiang once crafted dowries for the imperial court; the full Manchu-Han banquet tin tableware treasured in the Confucius Museum is the work of its ancestors. The international glory of a century ago is worth remembering, but in Wang Xuxian's eyes, the responsibility of the new generation of inheritors lies in facing the future.

　　The great river surges on, and the craftsman's spirit never rests. From a royal tribute to a contemporary intangible cultural heritage, from the hammering sounds of the workshop to the world stage—the story of Laiwu tin carving is still unfolding. Wang Xuxian hopes to take this "treasure of the tin world," born by the Yellow River, abroad, presenting Shandong culture to the world and telling the vibrant story of China's intangible cultural heritage, so that tin sculpture, tempered through a thousand hammer blows, may become a lustrous cultural calling card of China.
