当地时间10月21日，尼日利亚疾病控制中心公共卫生实验室服务主任奥拉朱莫克·巴巴通德对外披露称，该国20日在首都发现一例埃博拉病毒确诊病例，病毒检测结果显示，患者感染的是本迪布焦型病毒，与目前在刚果（金）肆虐的疫情毒株相同。
世界卫生组织证实，目前尚无针对本迪布焦型埃博拉病毒的疫苗或特效药。（总台记者 何北平）
