格隆汇10月21日｜据彭博，传奇娱乐重启收购狮门影业的谈判，并提交了收购要约。此前报道称，传奇娱乐去年已考虑竞购狮门影业，两家公司此后一直就潜在交易断断续续地进行磋商。若收购成功，传奇娱乐将获得狮门影业庞大的影视版权库，其中包括《饥饿游戏》及《疾速追杀》等知名电影IP，每年可带来约10亿美元的收入。此次交易亦将为传奇娱乐提供独立的院线发行网络。
