连接重庆主城与三峡库区，设计时速350公里的高速铁路——新建重庆至万州高速铁路（以下简称渝万高铁）10月20日启动联调联试。
渝万高铁是我国“八纵八横”高铁网包（银）海、京昆通道的重要组成部分，于2022年10月开工建设，正线全长约254公里，共设5座车站。
