10月13日，一级方程式赛车（F1）宣布与卢旺达达成一项为期10年的协议，计划于2030年代初在卢旺达举办非洲大奖赛。这将是F1自1993年在南非举行比赛后，时隔数十年重返非洲。首场比赛将在卢旺达布盖塞拉一条新建赛道完工后举行。
