美国总统特朗普当地时间周五（10月9日）表示，根据他与俄罗斯总统普京达成的一项协议，俄罗斯将向美国及全球市场供应数百万吨柴油。受此消息影响，美、布两油短线均下跌，收盘微幅上涨，纽约商品交易所11月交货的轻质原油期货价格涨幅为0.39%；12月交货的伦敦布伦特原油期货价格涨幅为0.42%。全周来看，美油上涨0.81%，布油上涨2.42%。
