社团里的成长力量｜杭州鼎文国际学校学子：从 “我喜欢” 到 “我创造”

新学期，不只是新的课表、活动与目标，更是一次重新认识自己的契机。这个秋天，鼎文各学部学生社团全新启航——从运动竞技到学术阅读，从心理探索到公益行动，一群又一群因热爱相遇的年轻人，自发地在校园里构建起生生不息的“学习与生活共同体”。

A new academic year brings more than a new timetable, new activities, and new goals. It is also an opportunity for students to rediscover who they are.This autumn, student clubs across DWA have begun a new chapter. From sports and academic reading to wellbeing, self-exploration, and community service, groups of young people brought together by shared passions are creating vibrant communities of learning and life across the campus.

PART1 去年，我们这样“玩”社团

PART 1 | How We Did Clubs Last Year

去年，鼎文高中部的社团生活从一个个真实的兴趣开始。烘焙社、健身社、足球社成为校园里的高人气社团，每个社团都吸引了不少学生的加入。有人因为喜欢烘焙，在一次次尝试中发现新的美味组合；有人在健身与运动中找到坚持的意义；也有人因为热爱足球，和志同道合的伙伴组成自己的团队。

除此之外，初中部的特色俱乐部——The DAP也是凝聚鼎文国际大社区的重要纽带。它不是传统的英语课程，而是以“提升英语会话能力、结识校园伙伴”为目标的趣味实践平台。每周四，学生们都会准时相聚，邀请一位鼎文成员展开访谈，从拟定访问话题、邀请访问嘉宾到开展播客录制，学生们全程自主推进，在提问与回应中自然掌握语言技巧，并在这个过程中学会了尊重与倾听。

小学部的图书馆志愿者从始至终积极投入岗位、恪尽职守，利用课余时间活跃在图书馆内，整理图书标签，归置散落书籍。在日常的志愿服务当中，孩子们亲手维护图书馆的秩序，守护满满的书香。从整理一册册图书开始，学会责任与担当，在服务他人的过程里收获成长。

更值得一提的是去年孩子们还干了一件 “绿意盎然” 的大事——学生自发组建了杭州鼎文学校国际生态学校委员会，这是孩子们以校园主人翁的身份，迈出共建生态校园的第一步。会上学生委员们自主分享生态实践成果，化身 “生态小侦探” 围绕校园环境现场提问。在“行动‑表达‑共建”的成长之路上，师生同向同行，携手共同建设鼎文国际生态校园！

Last year, high school club life at DWA began with genuine interests and passions. The Baking Club, Fitness Club, and Football Club quickly became popular choices on campus, each attracting a growing group of students.

Some discovered new flavor combinations through one baking experiment after another; some found the value of perseverance through fitness and sports; while others brought together like-minded teammates and built their own team through their shared passion for football.

Beyond these, the Middle School’s signature club, The DAP, has become an important link connecting DWA’s international community. Rather than a traditional English class, it is an engaging, hands-on platform designed to help students strengthen their conversational English and connect with peers across campus.

Every Thursday, students come together to interview a member of the DWA community. From developing interview topics and inviting guests to recording each podcast, students take the lead throughout the process. Through asking questions and responding to others, they naturally develop their language skills while learning the value of respect and active listening.

The Primary School Library Volunteer Team also remained actively involved throughout the year. During their free time, students worked in the library, organizing book labels and returning books to their proper places. Through these everyday acts of service, they helped maintain the library and preserve its welcoming atmosphere. Starting with the simple task of organizing books, they learned about responsibility and commitment, while growing through serving others.

And there was one particularly “green” initiative worth highlighting. Last year, students independently initiated the DWA International Eco-School Committee, taking the first step toward building a more sustainable campus as true members of the school community.

At meetings, student representatives shared their own environmental initiatives and became “eco detectives,” raising questions and exploring the campus environment firsthand. Through a journey of action, expression, and co-creation, students and teachers have worked side by side to build a greener and more sustainable DWA community.

If last year’s club life opened a door for DWA students to explore their interests and build teams, this year, they are pushing that door open even further—moving from participants to initiators, organizers, and community builders.

PART2 今年，学生开始自己“造”社团

PART 2 | This Year, Students Started Building Their Own

今年，事情开始变得不一样。

鼎文高中部推出的全新社团启动方案——社团不再是“学校提供什么，学生选择什么”，而是“学生可以创造什么”。学校鼓励有想法、有热情的学生主动申请成立新社团并担任社长。

于是，越来越多“新奇”的社团涌现了出来：

鼎文优渥的校园空间与专业运动设施，也为学生的兴趣提供了更多真实发生的可能。今年，学生充分利用学校完备的运动场地，自发组织游泳社、篮球社、羽毛球社等社团，让校园里的空间真正成为他们实践兴趣、连接伙伴的舞台。

鲲鹏志愿者团队是由师生共创，学生主导。鼎鼎动物园志愿者和女性互助计划这两个项目，都是由学生自己发起，并在老师指导下开展的志愿者活动。不少同学刚刚步入青春期，初次面对生理期会有迷茫与局促。志愿者们配合老师开展生理期科普，打破月经羞耻；同时自主筹备、采购经期物资，用实际行动关怀身边的女同学，守护青春期的小美好，用微光为身边女性带去温暖与善意。

在鼎文，领导力（Leadership）并不一定需要始于一个宏大的项目，它完全可以萌发于一句简单的“我有一个想法”：

This year, things are beginning to look different.

DWA High School has introduced a new club-startup initiative. Clubs are no longer simply about “what the school offers and what students choose.” Instead, they are about “what students can create.” Students with ideas and passion are encouraged to propose new clubs and take on the role of club leaders.

DWA’s spacious campus and professional sports facilities also create more opportunities for students to turn their interests into real experiences. This year, students have made full use of the school’s sports facilities to independently organize Swimming, Basketball, Badminton, and other clubs—transforming campus spaces into a stage where they can pursue their interests and connect with like-minded peers.

The Kunpeng Volunteer Team is a community co-created by teachers and students and led by students. Both the Dingding Animal Park Volunteer Program and the Girls’ Support Initiative were initiated by students themselves and carried out with teacher guidance.

For many students entering adolescence, experiencing their first period can bring uncertainty and embarrassment. Working alongside teachers, student volunteers have organized educational sessions on menstrual health to help break the stigma surrounding menstruation. They have also independently prepared and purchased period-care supplies, turning their concern for their peers into tangible action—offering support, kindness, and a little extra warmth during an important stage of growing up.

At DWA, leadership doesn’t always have to begin with a grand project. It can start with something as simple as: “I have an idea.”

·头脑风暴：“那我们可以做什么？分享保护知识、观察校园动物、做公益宣传，还可以跨学科邀请老师一起探讨。”

·落地执行：明确社团宗旨，撰写申请方案，寻找指导老师，设计招募海报，进行公开招募。

这套自主报名、自主发起服务项目的模式，引导学生领悟：真正的领导力不在于头衔或指派，而在于敏锐捕捉身边需求，并自发做出行动回应。

This model of student-led sign-up and self-initiated service projects helps students understand that true leadership is not about titles or appointments. It is about noticing the needs around them, responding with initiative, and taking meaningful action.

PART 3 | Two Real Stories:

When “I Want To” Becomes “I’ll Take Charge”

Sarrina：从“我想做”开始，独立完成从0到1

杭州鼎文学校 ABS全球商学社团顺利通过阿思丹（ASEEDER）组委会终审，成功获评官方认证初级商学社团，G12 Sarrina 同学获评官方认证初级社长。阿思丹作为国际素质教育头部平台，拥有 Cognia 权威认证，并入选《2025 福布斯中国留学行业领军品牌》，行业认可度极高。

作为鼎文 ABS 全球商学社团首任社长，Sarrina 开启了从零搭建社团的全新挑战。筹备申报期间，她主动研读申报规则、规划社团发展、逐字打磨全英文申请材料，并利用课余时间反复备战全英文面试。在经济学科老师的指导下，她通过模拟演练、优化表达、打磨商业逻辑不断精进，顺利通过阿思丹终审，斩获官方初级认证社长资质。

认证只是起点，任职后，Sarrina 统筹社团规划、人员分工与资源对接，完成了从专注自我成长到带队统筹团队的蜕变。正如她所言：未知的挑战，正是自我成长的最佳契机。

Max：从参与者到社团主理人，把想法变成行动

CNEC（全美经济学挑战赛）是由CEE（美国经济教育委员会）官方发起，是全球最具影响力的中学生经济学学术竞赛之一，被誉为 “经济学领域的奥林匹克”。 作为鼎文学校专属的商科实践平台，BizSpark Club 正式获得由美国经济教育学会（CEE）与世界青年论坛（WYF）联合颁发的 CNEC 认证学校俱乐部资质。

在赛事筹备与俱乐部运营中，鼎文G12的Max凭借突出的领导力，获颁 CNEC 官方个人表彰证书。从活动策划到落地执行，Max全程深度参与，他不仅自我加压、主动付出，更在经济学教师一对一专业指导下，不断优化组织流程、提升活动质量；同时依托学校提供的场地、资源与宣传支持，稳步推进社团各项工作。

对Max而言，这份荣誉并非终点。“每次看到同学因为我的分享，对经济学产生兴趣，或者在备赛中突破自我，我就觉得一切都值得。”从“我想做”，到“我来推动”，Max正在成为自己热爱之事的主导者。

Sarrina：Starting with “I want to do this,” students take ownership and independently turn an idea into reality—from 0 to 1.

DWA’s ABS Global Business Club has successfully passed the final review by the ASEEDER organizing committee and has been officially recognized as a Certified Junior Business Club. G12 student Sarrina has also been recognized as an Officially Certified Junior Club President.As a leading platform for international education and holistic student development, ASEEDER holds Cognia accreditation and was named among the 2025 Forbes China Leading Brands in the Study Abroad Industry, reflecting its strong recognition within the education sector.

As the founding president of DWA’s ABS Global Business Club, Sarrina took on the challenge of building the club from the ground up.During the application process, she independently studied the requirements, developed the club’s vision and plans, carefully refined the English application materials, and repeatedly prepared for the English-language interview in her spare time. With guidance from her Economics teacher, she continued to sharpen her skills through mock interviews, clearer communication, and stronger business reasoning. Her efforts ultimately led her to successfully pass ASEEDER’s final review and earn the official Junior Club President Certification.

But certification was only the beginning. After taking office, Sarrina took responsibility for the club’s planning, team coordination, and resource development, marking her transition from focusing on her own growth to leading and organizing a team.As she puts it: “Every unknown challenge is an opportunity to grow.”

Max: From Participant to Club Leader, Turning Ideas into Action

During the preparation for the competition and the operation of the club, DWA G12 student Max was recognized with an official CNEC Individual Recognition Certificate*for his outstanding leadership.

The CNEC (National Economics Challenge) is an official competition organized by the Council for Economic Education (CEE) and is widely recognized as one of the leading economics competitions for secondary school students worldwide, often referred to as the “Olympics of Economics.”As DWA’s dedicated platform for business and economics practice, the BizSpark Club has officially received CNEC Certified School Club status, jointly recognized by the Council for Economic Education (CEE) and the World Youth Forum (WYF).

From planning to execution, Max was deeply involved throughout the process. He challenged himself, took initiative, and worked closely with his Economics teacher through one-on-one professional guidance to continuously improve organizational processes and the quality of club activities. With access to DWA’s facilities, resources, and promotional support, he steadily moved the club’s work forward.

For Max, this recognition is not the finish line.

“Every time I see a classmate become interested in economics because of something I shared, or overcome a challenge while preparing for the competition, I feel that everything was worth it.”

From “I want to do this”to“I’ll make it happen,”Max is becoming the driving force behind what he is passionate about.

PART4 从“我喜欢”到“我们一起做”

PART 4 | From Personal Passion to Shared Action

去年，各学部的社团、志愿者活动，让学生们找到了自己的兴趣与伙伴。今年，鲲鹏志愿者、商业社、羽毛球社、游泳社、篮球社……更多由学生自发组织的社团正在校园里发生。而Max和Sarrina的故事，则让我们看到：当兴趣进一步向前，它可以变成一份计划、一支团队、一场活动，甚至一个真正属于学生自己的社群。

喜欢，是最初的动力；行动，是成长真正发生的地方。当一个学生开始思考“我想做什么”，他正在认识自己；当他说出“我来试试”，他开始主动选择；当他说“我们一起做”，领导力、协作力与责任感也正在真实地生长。

一份喜欢，长成一个社团，

一个想法，长成一群人的行动，

这就是鼎文学子的生长力。

Last year, clubs and volunteer initiatives across DWA’s divisions gave students opportunities to discover their interests and find like-minded peers. This year, Badminton, Swimming, Basketball, Meditation, Band, and many more student-led clubs are taking shape across campus.

The stories of Max and Sarrina show us what can happen when an interest takes one step further. It can grow into a plan, a team, an event, or even a community truly created and shaped by students themselves.

Passion is where it begins; action is where growth truly happens.

When a student starts asking, “What do I want to do?”, they are beginning to understand themselves. When they say, “I’ll give it a try,”, they begin to make choices for themselves. And when they say, “Let’s do it together,” leadership, collaboration, and a sense of responsibility begin to take shape through real experience.

One passion grows into a club.

One idea grows into collective action.

This is the growth power of DWA students.
