10月1日，湖南高速交管七支队发布警情通报：
2026年10月1日凌晨2时7分许，沪昆高速怀化段1407KM+200M处发生一起道路交通事故。事故共造成6人死亡、4人受伤，4台车不同程度受损。目前，任某某因涉嫌疲劳驾驶，已被公安机关控制。事故调查、伤员救治及善后处置等工作正在进一步开展中。
