韩国法务部周四表示，韩国被勒令向美国对冲基金埃利奧特（Elliott）支付约4849万美元及利息；此前一个仲裁庭裁定，韩国政府介入三星物产（Samsung C&T）与第一毛织（Cheil Industries）于2015年的合并一事，与埃利奧特遭受的损失存在因果关系。
根据韩国法务部的说法，重审仲裁庭维持了原仲裁裁决中的赔偿金额。
