9月30日，韩国央行数据显示，该行今年第二季度通过市场干预操作净卖出96.12亿美元，以抑制韩元走弱。这是韩国央行连续第七个季度进行美元卖出干预。今年第一季度，韩国央行净卖出136.28亿美元。今年4月至6月期间，韩元兑美元汇率一度跌至2009年3月以来最低水平，随后收窄跌幅，并以季度下跌2.1%收盘。同期，美元指数上涨1.3%。
