格隆汇9月24日｜新西兰地方政府部长西蒙·沃茨在一份电子邮件声明中表示，新西兰政府已暂停推进地方议会合并的计划，要求官员们做更多工作，以便在2027年审议这些提案。政府表示，在要求各地方议会提交各自的重组方案后，共收到了18份合并提案。“在考虑了这些提议之后，内阁还需要做更多工作才能做出最终决定。”
