其实去年9月份，歼-35A绰号就曾公布，当时就已经明说了“云龙”。这次再次公布，只是进一步确认中国空军战机以“龙”为系列命名方式的传统，FC-1“枭龙”、歼-10“猛龙”、歼-11“应龙”、歼-20“威龙”，接下来就是两款六代机，不知道未来将以什么“龙”来命名。当然不用担心没名字可取，毕竟龙生九子各不相同，再说了我们还有山海经可供参考。
