Journalist and co-founder of The Line Jen Gerson says trade tensions between Canada and the US are not conventional disputes, but an existential fight. Gerson argues that Canada will not end its relationship with the US but will take a more ruthless approach in its dealings with Washington and focus more on its own interests. Meanwhile, Canada is expanding economic and trade ties with Europe and China, building more East-to-West trade routes and reshaping its trade strategy.
