9月16日，日本电信运营商NTT DoCoMo表示，公司在未获得客户同意的情况下，向亚马逊日本提供了34.4213万名客户的账户信息。NTT DoCoMo称，相关问题源于网站更新时遗漏了客户同意信息共享的提示。此次提供的信息包括电话号码和所使用的服务套餐，但未向亚马逊日本提供客户姓名等其他信息。亚马逊日本已删除相关信息。
