北京时间9月14日，曼市德比中十人作战的曼城在第59分钟由哈兰德打入一粒进球，此球引起一些越位争议，英超官方对此进行了解释。
英超比赛中心声明，第59分钟，VAR推翻裁判关于进球因越位无效的判罚，认定哈兰德处于不越位位置，建议判进球有效。VAR同时认定，恩佐虽然处于越位位置，但没有触球。
