乘联分会数据显示，8月新能源乘用车出口51.8万辆，同比增长154.7%，环比下降5.0%。占乘用车出口58.4%，较去年同期增长18个百分点；其中纯电动占新能源出口的63.4%（去年同期66.0%），作为核心焦点的A00+A0级纯电动车占纯电动出口的56.5%（去年同期45.2%）。8月新能源出口方面优秀的企业是：比亚迪（184,446辆）、吉利汽车（69,910 辆）、奇瑞汽车（68,431 辆）、特斯拉中国（36,119 辆）、长安汽车（28,323 辆）、上汽乘用车（24,991 辆）、零跑汽车（18,255 辆）、上汽通用五菱（17,376 辆）。
