8月28日，BioNTech宣布，经与合作方Genentech协商，决定终止个体化mRNA癌症免疫疗法autogene cevumeran用于结直肠癌辅助治疗的II期临床试验。该决定源于独立数据安全监测委员会（DSMB）最新评估发现，试验治疗组与对照组总体生存期存在数值差异，并认为继续试验不太可能改变疗效结果。
