1935年6月7日深夜，红军从芦山县城西、城北发起突袭，与之前隐藏在城内的红军里应外合，从城西北角向敌团部及守敌第一营发起突然猛攻，并迅速击溃敌守城的敌军，于6月8日凌晨占领芦山县城。（中经记者 尹丽梅）
