8月17日，《联合国防治荒漠化公约》第十七次缔约方大会（UNCCD COP17）在蒙古国首都乌兰巴托开幕。为期两周的大会以“恢复土地，重燃希望”为主题，将围绕退化土地修复、可持续土地管理、抗旱韧性、草原保护修复等议题展开磋商与交流。（封面新闻记者 卢荡）
