出版家、袁吉六文化教育研究院名誉院长袁大川，因病医治无效，于2026年8月12日在北京逝世，享年80岁。
袁大川为毛主席恩师袁吉六嫡长孙，曾先后任湖南科技出版社社长、湖南教育出版社社长、海南出版社社长。他主编的《世界百科全书》（国际中文版）广受赞誉。
先生一路走好，天堂亦有书香！
