韩国总统李在明8月15日在首尔举行的光复节81周年庆祝仪式上表示，随着《亲日反民族行为者财产的国家归属等相关特别法》于今年6月2日正式颁布，韩国政府将调查并追缴亲日反民族行为者的财产，明确追究其历史责任。
