8月14日，维珍银河宣布，其新一代Delta级亚轨道太空飞船的首次商业飞行将推迟至2027年2月。此前的计划是在2026年第四季度开始商业运营。维珍银河CEO迈克尔·科尔格拉齐尔表示，此次推迟并非由单一重大问题导致，而是在新飞船的组装过程中遇到了“数百个相对较小但重要的安装任务”的工期延长。
