据彭博社消息，当地时间8月11日，巴基斯坦国防部长阿西夫表示，美国与伊朗已接近达成“某种安排”。阿西夫补充说，持久和平符合该地区利益。
阿西夫在接受采访时称，局势再次朝着有利于达成和平安排或协议的方向发展。“过去两三天传来的信号表明，我们已接近达成某种安排。”
