新华社东京8月9日电（记者李子越 毕高锋）据日本气象厅消息，日本岩手县近海9日凌晨发生5.6级地震。
日本气象厅说，地震发生于当地时间9日2时58分（北京时间9日1时58分）左右，震中位于北纬40.1度、东经142.4度，震源深度约40公里。
日本气象厅说，目前无需担心发生海啸灾害。（完）
