7月17日，重庆彭水县汉葭街道发生山体崩塌，造成重大人员伤亡。为深入贯彻落实习近平总书记重要指示精神，落实李强总理等中央领导同志批示要求，根据国家有关法律法规规定，国务院成立调查评估组，由应急管理部牵头，自然资源部、公安部、住房城乡建设部、交通运输部、中国气象局和重庆市人民政府等相关方面参加，对重庆彭水汉葭街道“7·17”特别重大山体崩塌灾害进行调查评估。
