7月28日以来，大连出现持续高温闷热天气。表现为大范围、持续性的“白天热、夜里闷”。7月31日及8月1日夜间近九成观测站最低气温达到或超过25℃，其中8月1日大连国家自动观测站达28.4℃（历史第二高）。湿度维持在70%～90%。7月28日至8月2日,除瓦房店市外,其他区市县平均最低气温均为本站历史第一高。
