这个夏天，一边是人工智能以前所未有的速度改写世界，一边是北京亦庄的一片森林里，人们暂时放下手机、效率与标准答案，重新讨论一个看似缓慢，却越来越紧迫的问题：

当机器越来越像人，人还剩下什么不可替代？

在招商玺森林书社举办的“理想的附近”对话现场，《艾问 iAsk》创始人艾诚与作家、单向空间创始人许知远，以及招商蛇口北京总经理吕传来、Futuress未来科技创始人徐俊峰，围绕留白、附近、科技与人的复杂性，展开了一场没有标准答案的谈话。

如果有一天，AI可以读完许知远所有的书，分析他的采访，模仿他的语气，生成他的提问，甚至独立完成一期《十三邀》----

许知远，还有什么不可替代？

Suppose AI could read everything Xu Zhiyuan has written, study all his interviews, imitate his voice, generate his questions and independently produce an episode of Thirteen Talks.

What, then, would remain irreplaceable about Xu Zhiyuan?

这一次，艾诚没有在算法、参数或投资报告里寻找答案。她来到北京亦庄的一片森林里，把问题直接交给许知远本人。

Gloria Ai did not search for an answer in an algorithm or investment report. She went into a forest in Yizhuang and asked Xu Zhiyuan himself.

一边，是芯片、自动驾驶、人工智能和先进制造不断加速；另一边，是招商玺森林书社里，一场关于“留白之必要”的讨论。一边追问产业的下一次突破，一边重新寻找人的内在节奏。

On one side, chips, autonomous driving and artificial intelligence are accelerating. On the other, inside a forest library, people are discussing why blank space still matters.

作为财经媒体人和科技投资人，艾诚习惯追问增长、效率、估值与资本回报。但这天晚上，她更想追问：当机器越来越高效，人是否还拥有低效的自由？当答案越来越快，我们是否还有耐心，陪一个问题慢慢生长？在一个奖励速度的世界里，敢于停下来，本身就是一种反叛。

As machines become more efficient, do humans still have the freedom to be inefficient?As answers arrive faster, do we still have the patience to let a question grow?In a world that rewards speed, the most radical act is to pause.

留白不是空白，而是思想生长的地方

Blank space is not emptiness; it is where ideas grow

许知远谈到，很多最有意思的想法，并不是在刻意完成任务时出现的，而是在空白、闲暇和人与不同价值观碰撞的时刻诞生。我们大多数时候，都在回应外界布置的题目。学习如何成功，如何增长，如何更有效率，如何跟上变化。

但真正属于人生和事业的“母题”，往往不是别人提出、等待我们作答的题目，而是一个人在留白中，慢慢创造出来的问题。

Xu Zhiyuan remarked that many of the most compelling ideas do not emerge when we are deliberately checking off tasks. Instead, they arise in moments of blank space, leisure, and collisions between people and divergent values.Most of the time, we are merely answering questions set by the outside world: learning how to succeed, how to achieve growth, how to become more efficient, and how to keep pace with change.

Yet the fundamental themes that shape our lives and careers are rarely questions posed by others for us to solve. They are questions we slowly forge for ourselves within blank space.

在AI时代，这种空间尤其稀缺。任何情绪都能立刻得到回应，任何问题似乎都能迅速获得答案。可是人的思想并不是检索结果，它需要时间，需要混乱，也需要允许自己暂时不被理解。

一棵植物不必笔直，一种思想也不必整齐。

重要的不是它是否符合标准，而是它是否真正来自自己。

Such space grows especially scarce in the AI era. Every emotion can receive an instant response, and nearly every question seems to get a quick answer. Yet human thought is far more than search results. It requires time, embraces chaos, and allows us to remain temporarily misunderstood.

A plant need not grow straight, nor an idea neatly ordered.

What matters is not whether it fits a standard, but whether it truly springs from within oneself.

AI会替代作家，也会替代采访者吗？

Can AI Replace Writers and Interviewers?

艾诚问许知远：AI会不会替代作家？会不会替代《十三邀》？AI当然可以整理信息、生成问题，甚至模拟某种风格。但许知远认为，人类的知识远不只是语言与逻辑。

Gloria Ai asked Xu Zhiyuan: Can AI replace writers? Can it replace Thirteen Talks? AI can certainly organize information, generate questions, and even mimic a certain style. Yet Xu Zhiyuan argues that human knowledge extends far beyond language and logic.

人与人面对面的善意、眼神中的迟疑、停顿中的意味，以及共同经历某个瞬间所形成的隐性经验，无法被完整转化为数据，也无法被文字彻底提取。同样一句话，在不同的眼神、环境和关系里，会拥有完全不同的意义。

AI可以理解句子。但它未必真正经历过一句话发生的那个时刻。这或许就是人的不可替代：不是永远比机器更聪明，而是拥有机器尚未拥有的生命经验。

The goodwill exchanged face-to-face, hesitation glimpsed in the eyes, the meaning held within pauses, and the tacit experience forged by sharing the same moment between people cannot be fully converted into data, nor completely captured in words. The exact same sentence can carry entirely different meanings, shaped by distinct gazes, settings and relationships.

AI may comprehend the sentence. Yet it may never truly live through the moment when those words are spoken. This is perhaps what makes humans irreplaceable: not that we are perpetually smarter than machines, but that we possess lived experience machines do not yet have.

我们正在失去的，不是是时间，还有“附近”

We are losing not only time, but also our sense of “the nearby”.

许知远曾与人类学家项飙讨论“附近的消失”。现代人拥有更辽阔的信息世界，却可能越来越不了解身边的人；连接了远方，却失去了邻里、日常与真实相遇。在现场，大家谈起曾经一句普通的“吃了吗”。这句话没有宏大意义，却代表一种人与人之间的确认：

我看见你，你也生活在这里。

Xu Zhiyuan once discussed "the disappearance of the nearby" with anthropologist Xiang Biao. Modern people have access to a far broader world of information, yet they may know less and less about those around them. We stay connected to distant horizons, but lose neighborhoods, daily moments and genuine encounters.

At the dialogue, the participants recalled the casual greeting: "Have you eaten?" The phrase carries no grand significance, yet it embodies a mutual acknowledgment between people:

I see you, and you live here too.

但“附近”也不意味着重新回到令人窒息的熟人社会。好的公共空间，应当在人与人之间保留一种若即若离的分寸：既不冷漠，也不越界；既能独处，也可以相遇。

“附近”不是对远方理想的否定，而是一个人能够长久出发的底座。

Yet “the nearby” does not mean retreating into a stifling society of acquaintances. A sound public space ought to maintain a subtle, balanced distance between people: neither cold nor intrusive; a place where one can stay alone, and also chance upon others.

“The nearby” is not a rejection of distant ideals. It is the foundation from which a person can keep setting out, sustainably.

在人工智能最热的夏天，重新谈论人的日常

Revisiting Human Everydayness in the Hottest Summer of AI

对话前一天，艾诚还在上海世界人工智能大会的现场。十万平方米的展区、密集的技术发布与论坛、几十摄氏度的高温，以及来不及吃饭的主持行程，都在提醒她：技术时代正在加速。

但当她蹲在路边吃下一份盒饭时，所有宏大的科技叙事，都重新落回一个普通人的衣食住行。

这也让她意识到：科技最终要回答的，不只是“能做到什么”，还要回答“为什么而做”。

On the day before the dialogue, Gloria Ai was still at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai. The 100,000-square-meter exhibition hall, back-to-back tech launches and forums, temperatures soaring to dozens of degrees Celsius, and a packed hosting schedule leaving no time for meals all served as a reminder: the technological era is accelerating.

Yet as she squatted by the roadside eating a boxed meal, all grand tech narratives settled back down to the basic needs of an ordinary human being — food, clothing, shelter and travel.

It dawned on her that technology must ultimately answer not only what can be achieved, but also why we pursue it.

人工智能可以优化效率，却不能替人感受生活。算法可以规划路线，却不能替人决定什么值得抵达。模型可以预测下一个词，却不能替人承担说出这句话之后的人生。

AI can optimize efficiency, yet it cannot feel life on humanity’s behalf. Algorithms can map out routes, yet they cannot decide what destinations are worth reaching. Models can predict the next word, yet they cannot bear the life that unfolds after those words are spoken.

真正的美，是身处喧嚣仍然保持清醒

True beauty lies in remaining lucid amid the noise.

艾诚常常在最前沿的科技现场讨论未来，也始终愿意回到书页、森林和人与人的对话里，寻找“内心的附近”。因为真正的美，不只是被镜头看见。美是身处喧嚣，依然保有清醒；身处资本，依然尊重理想；身处人工智能时代，依然愿意相信人的复杂、笨拙与不可替代。

Gloria Ai often discusses the future at the cutting edge of technology, yet she always turns back to books, woodlands and face-to-face conversations to seek “the nearby within”. For true beauty is far more than being captured by a lens. It means staying lucid amid clamor, honoring ideals amid capital, and retaining faith in humanity’s complexity, awkwardness and irreplaceability in the age of artificial intelligence.

What we call human awkwardness is sometimes precisely what machines cannot replicate. We hesitate, misunderstand, and change our minds. We fall silent at a glance, and a chance encounter may alter the course of our lives thereafter. Such “instability”, “imprecision” and “inefficiency” are what make a human being authentic.

AI可以完成采访，只有人能够完成相遇

AI can conduct interviews, yet only humans can forge encounters.

如果AI真的能够完成一期《十三邀》，许知远还有什么不可替代？艾诚的答案是：AI可以完成一次采访，但只有人，才能完成一场相遇。

机器可以生产一段对话。但只有真正生活其中的人，才能理解那段对话为何发生；才能感受一次沉默的重量、一场相遇的温度，以及答案出现之后，自己是否已经悄然改变。

If AI could truly produce an episode of Thirteen Talks, what would remain irreplaceable about Xu Zhiyuan? Gloria Ai’s answer is this: AI can conduct an interview, yet only human beings can realize an encounter.

Machines can generate a conversation. But only those who live fully within life can grasp why that conversation came to be. Only they can feel the weight of a silence, the warmth of an encounter, and discern whether they have quietly transformed once the answers unfold.
