当地时间7月23日，国际数学家大会（ICM 2026）开幕式公布第二位2026年菲尔兹奖获得者——美国数学家约翰·帕登。约翰·帕登因其在辛几何领域的开创性贡献荣获2026年菲尔兹奖。其成就包括在虚基本循环、特定流形上的福谷范畴以及全纯曲线计数等方面提出的新方法。同时，他还因在几何与拓扑学其他领域作出的贡献获奖，包括三维流形上的群作用研究和纽结理论研究。（科技日报）
