当地时间7月21日，美国国防部长赫格塞思在出席国会参议院拨款委员会听证会时应询称，对伊朗战争的成本估算已升至375亿美元。赫格塞思称，这一金额包含了截至9月30日的军人薪资、运维及其他预期成本。听证会两度被抗议者打断。
