7月21日，湖南省纪委监委发布消息：湖南省宁乡经济技术开发区党工委书记张作林接受纪律审查和监察调查。
资料显示，张作林，男，汉族，1971年10月出生，湖南涟源人，1993年7月参加工作，1995年6月加入中国共产党，历史学学士，曾任湖南省长沙市望城区委书记，宁乡市委书记，宁乡经济技术开发区党工委书记等职。
