Yardeni Research总裁Ed Yardeni预测，尽管标普500指数自5月中旬以来陷入了他所称的“夏季停滞”，但该指数将在年底冲上8250点，较当前水平上涨大约700点。
自5月中旬至今，标普500指数走势平淡，处于区间震荡，迟迟未能向上突破。Yardeni将这一横盘期形容为“夏季停滞”，但他认为这只是暂时的盘整。
若他的预测成真，意味着标普500将在下半年录得约700点的涨幅，打破目前的多空僵局。
