据印度媒体7月19日报道，印度中央银行计划于2027年试点发行小面额的塑料材质钞票，评估用其替代纸币的可行性，以提高钞票耐用性和防伪性。这并非印度首次提出发行塑料钞票。2007年，印度储备银行曾打算在部分地区试点发行面额10卢比的塑料钞票，但经过多次招标和可行性研究后未能实行。（新华社）
