据央视新闻消息，当地时间8日，委内瑞拉全国代表大会主席豪尔赫·罗德里格斯通过社交媒体通报，该国近日发生的强震造成的死亡人数上升至3811人，受伤人数上升至16740人。此外，强震后发生了1102次余震。（总台记者 宫祥诚）
